Meet Sassy
Give a warm winter welcome to sweet shy Sassy, on her way to Connecticut to make the season bright with a family that will give her the great gift of a forever home. Sassy has a bit of a mysterious origin story with her black and white short hair coat and her sweet face. We say she is a mixed breed of love and companionship. Sassy was a bit reserved when first rescued but with each day of kindness and care she is growing in confidence and social skills. Sassy is 31 pounds at 6 months of age, and it is estimated that she will remain a medium sized dog (31-60 pounds) when she is fully grown. Dogs and children are her happy companions. It is not known currently whether Sassy enjoys spending time with cats.Sassy is mastering her house, leash and crate training. Rescue pups may have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home. Gentle lessons with consistent positive reinforcement will teach Sassy all she needs to know. It is not possible to write about how Sassy came into this world, but she is ready to help write her happily ever after tale so long as it includes a warm lap and bed, cheerful friends and playmates and plenty of love and affection for the rest of her days. The adoption fee for Sassy is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
