Paws Crossed Animal Rescue Inc.

Our mission is to "Rescue One By One Until There Are None." Through this mission we will rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome orphaned pets. We aim to provide a loving, nurturing environment for all the animals in our care. We are committed to helping each individual pet find his or her perfect companion. We are dedicated to being a no-kill rescue. We are committed to saving as many lives as we can and providing the best possible environment for the pets in our care. We are a team of experienced and compassionate people that are willing to go above and beyond to ensure our success. Our focus will be on rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of dogs and cats. We will rescue from our community, the Southern United States as well as the Cayman Islands. We will offer a variety of programs and services to the community to make pet ownership easier and more affordable for the public. Our education programs are incredibly important to the community and will help pave the way for the future of animal rescue. The wide variety of services and programs we will offer the community will set us apart and allow us to truly make a difference. We will be one of the few no-kill rescues in the area, we will only euthanize for terminal illness or loss of quality of life. We plan to intake and adopt out about 1,000 dogs and cats per year. We will collaborate with other shelters and rescues in the area to work together towards a similar goal.

Meet Widget

Birthdate: 12/22/24Breed: One of a kindWeight:  Still growing!Meet Bridget, Widget, and Fidget – The Trio of Sweetness! These three adorable girls are more than just puppies; they’re a bundle of love, energy, and pure joy! Widget is the playful tennis ball and toy lover she lives for playtime. She’s the one who will drop a tennis ball at your feet, look up at you with those eager eyes, and demand that you throw it, the concept of bringing it back, she's still figuring out but A+ for her effort! This girl LOVES her toys, especially if it squeaks! Her determination is unmatched – she could chase a tennis ball for hours, tirelessly bounding back and forth, always ready for the next throw. When she’s not chasing toys, Widget is the first one to initiate a game with her sisters, always bringing a playful, spirited energy to the group. Her joyful nature and love for adventure make her the most active and entertaining of the bunch! These lovely ladies can be adopted separately. The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://www.pawscrossedny.org/cat-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
