Meet Lola

Looking for a super sweet black lab mix? Stop right here and read about Lola. She would be a great companion for someone who likes to hike and go for walks. She likes to be with people, children and other dogs. (It is not known if she has lived with a cat). At age 4 years and 9 months she is fully grown and weighs 60 pounds. She has that short black lab coat with some white accents.Little is known about Lola as she was at a high kill shelter prior to coming into rescue. What is known is that someone there recognized her potential and had her saved, so she could have a second chance at a forever home. Lab mixes tend to have a very friendly temperament, and love spending time with people. As to training, she is working on her house, leash, and crate training. Please note that even trained dogs can have occasional accidents as they adjust to a new home and new routines. Daily exercise will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. She will also benefit from mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. It will also prevent boredom. Lab mixes usually like to stay active as they age. A secure back yard would be a plus and would give her time to play and burn off her energy. Are you willing to take on the task of helping Lola transition to a new life where she loved and appreciated? If yes, read on. The adoption fee for Lola is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
