Meet Sweetheart
We are excited to introduce Sweetheart, a 3 1/2 year old, spayed female terrier mix who lives up to her name! Sweetheart has spent the past few months with us recovering from a rear leg injury and is doing well! She has been an easy girl in her foster home as she is a perfect companion who walks well on leash. She is a little "wiggle butt" with every new person she meets. Sweetheart has been introduced to cats at a shelter and did not show interest in them, however she has not lived with cats. She has made dog friends, but introductions to new dogs should always be done in an intentional and safe manner.Sweetheart will do best in a home where she can "chillax" with her new family. She would enjoy daily, light exercise to keep her 40 pound girlish figure, but is not a dog who will be your running partner or next sport dog. She will make a wonderful companion for a family looking to give and receive lots of love! The adoption fee for Sweetheart is $500.00 which includes her spay, up-to-date vaccines, and a complimentary lesson with our behavior team to learn the exercises we have been doing with Sweetheart to continue to strengthen her rear legs. To apply for the future love of your life, head over to our adoption page and submit your application today! A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, please contact your veterinarian and give them permission to speak with us. If you have not heard back from us within 24 hours, please check your spam folder.
Adoption Process
Potential adopters must complete a comprehensive application, interview and home inspection. The final step in the process is explaination and completion of adoption contract. The adoption fee is $450 inclusive of all vetting and transportation charges.
