Meet Jack

Sometimes you can be the best dog and still end up in bad circumstances. Jack was adopted from a southern shelter but somehow ended up as a stray. The chain of events is not known but we know that Jack is a great canine and a sweet and obedient nature. He holds no hard feelings from his past and is looking forward to a bright and loving forever family. He currently knows a few commands and has no problem being with other dogs and is comfortable hanging with kids. It is not known if he has met a cat.Lab/boxer mixes are known as Boxadors! They are intelligent, loyal, and loving. They are also known to be playful, energetic, and easy to train. And they like to be with their family as much as possible. Weighing in at 50 pounds, he is fully grown with a short reddish-brown coat. He is house and crate trained. Unknown about leash training. Please remember that even though Jack is trained, he may still have an accident as he gets used to new routines and a new environment.Daily exercise will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. It will be a new world to him with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along his walk. He may also enjoy going for hikes to burn off energy. Jack will benefit from mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. It will prevent boredom. Lots of attention will also be a must.A secure back yard would be a plus because it would give him free time to play and burn off extra energy. He probably would enjoy visits to a local dog park. Are you willing to take on the task of helping Jack transition to a new life where he is once again loved and appreciated? If yes, read on.The adoption fee for Jack is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
