To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: 1 year (as of 2/8/24) Weight: 13 lbs (as of 3/22/24) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Are you looking for a little pup with a BIG personality? Look no further! Meet Little Tykes--a 1-year-old Jack Russell mix with a typical Jack Russell personality. He's happy, playful, independent, affectionate, intelligent, even-tempered, gentle, goofy, outgoing and eager to please. Typical for his breed, he can be hyper and vocal during play, but he is responsive to corrections. Little Tykes is always ready for action and fills his day with his many hobbies including playing with other pups, playing with toys, playing fetch, walking/running/hiking, going places, and meeting new people. Once he is done with his activities, he would love nothing more than to snuggle or curl up in his human's lap. Little Tykes' house and leash training are in progress, but he is quiet and clean in his crate for up to 6 hours, and he is calm when crated in the car. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Think Little Tykes would make a great addition to your family? Fill out an application to let him know! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ * *Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
