Meet Sunny

Are you looking for a pup that will brighten up your life? Sunny might just be the pup you are looking for! Sunny is a 3-year-old Labrador retriever mix with a beautiful brown and white coat, and the most adorable spotted socks on her front paws! At 52 lbs., Sunny is considered a large pup (50 - 100 lbs.). Sunny was surrendered to our partner shelter in Mississippi, due to no fault of her own. Her previous owners had too many dogs on their property and one of the family members was having some health issues. Despite her difficult past, her spirits remain high. Sunny cannot wait to find her new forever home!Sunny is a sweet pup. She can be a bit shy at first, but quickly opens up and just wants to be friends with everyone! Sunny gets along well with other pups and with kids. She has not yet had the chance to meet a cat, so we are not sure how she feels about them. Sunny has medium energy, so she is a perfect pup for a family who enjoys both grand adventures and movie nights!Sunny is working hard on her crate, leash walking, and house training skills. While Sunny had a home before she was surrendered, new places, people, and routines can take some adjustment. Sunny will need the support and commitment of her new family members who have the time, desire, and energy to continue her training and socialization. With your love and patience, she can become the perfect lifelong companion and develop the confidence that she needs to be a success!Bring some bright beautiful sunshine into your life when you bring home Sunny! The adoption fee for Sunny is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.
