To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE   Age: Estimated 6.5 Months (estimated DOB 9.1.24) Weight: 27.8 lbs (as of 3/11/25) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Tilly Vanilly is the sweetest little rescue pup looking for her forever home! This 6-7-month-old lab mix, currently weighing about 28 pounds, is a perfect blend of playful energy and gentle companionship. Despite her rough start—abandoned and alone for four days—Tilly has proven to be an incredibly resilient and loving girl. She is calm, even-tempered, and well-behaved, making her an easy addition to just about any home. She’s crate trained and well on her way to being fully potty trained, though she may need a little patience as she adjusts to a new environment. She already knows "sit" and "down" and only barks to alert, preferring to spend most of her time quietly enjoying her surroundings. Tilly is a well-mannered pup who enjoys both playtime and relaxation. She loves fetch, squeaky toys, and chew toys, but she’s also happy to curl up on the floor, bed, or couch for some cozy downtime. She’s eager to please and has done wonderfully with adults and older children in her foster home. Though a little shy at first, she warms up quickly and hasn’t met a person or animal she doesn’t like—including small birds! Her leash training is in progress, but she’s a quick learner and ready to explore the world with her future family. Whether you’re looking for a playful companion or a snuggly couch buddy, Tilly Vanilly is ready to steal your heart! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
