Meet Daisy Rags

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application  HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see  HERE Age: about 7 (as of 4/24/2023) Weight: 29 lbs. (as of 4/24/2023) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.   Daisy Rags is ready to go to riches now, please. Are you the one to make this flower bloom? Daisy was found wandering in someone’s yard and refused to leave – she obviously knew she could do better than what she had. She is very laid back and likes to be pet and brushed. She has a mild personality and does not require lots of playtime. Daisy could use a little confidence building and has benefited from having other confident dogs sharing her foster home. They have taught her to use the doggy door and she gets along with them. She is playful and submissive with new dogs. She has not been exposed to children, cats or small animals. She gets along with women. There are no men living in her home, but she has been fine with the new men and women she has met. She has free range of the house and does fine with that liberty. She can be a bit anxious in new places but does well riding tethered in the car. She also walks on a leash pretty well. Daisy is a bit of a wallflower and would probably not do well in a busy/urban household or with young/active children, but we will assess how she does with kids further once she gets to RI. We think she would do well with a confident, not-too-bossy dog, who can show her the ropes. Daisy is working on sit and stay but would do well with training to increase her confidence, help her form a bond with you, and set down roots in her new home. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
