Meet Chip

Meet Chip! A striking six-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix from Newark, DE, whose presence is as bold and beautiful as his tan coat adorned with light red speckles and white accents. This handsome, well-trained boy is not just a dog; he's a dedicated companion who thrives on routine and loves to make sure everything is running like clockwork. He’ll be the first to remind you when it’s dinner time or when it’s time to head outside for a bathroom break—using his own special “voice” to get the point across! Chip is the kind of dog who brings energy and joy to every moment. He loves to stretch his legs by running around in the backyard or joining you on walks. Squeaky toys and deflated soccer balls are his absolute favorites, and he’s always up for a good play session! But Chip isn’t all about play; he’s also obedient and well-versed in commands like sit, come, down, place, bed, paw, and break. He’s been through formal obedience training, which shines through in his behavior—especially when he’s feeling calm and content. However, Chip is a dog who needs a very specific kind of home to thrive. He does have a bite history with other dogs and his previous female guardian. He’s also had some instances in the past where he’s shown protective behavior around his food, toys, and space, so it’s important that his new family understands his boundaries and can provide him with the structure he needs. For this reason, Chip would do best in a household where he’s the only four-legged family member, and where there are no young children. He needs a guardian who is experienced, confident, and capable of handling his 100-pound frame.  In return for the right home environment, Chip will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a sweet, playful personality that’s sure to bring a smile to your face every day. Get ready for a lifetime of companionship and unforgettable moments with this unique and charming dog! To make sure that Chip has a great start with his new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation. Ready to meet Chip and start a new chapter together? Reach out to [email protected] let’s see if you’re the perfect match for this wonderful boy!
