To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: 2 years (as of 2/4/25) Weight: 9 pounds (as of 2/4/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Sugar Bear! This little boy is as sweet as they come, and we’re shocked he hasn’t found a home yet. He’s the perfect, 9 pound package: house trained, crate trained, and very well-mannered all around. He gets along with all humans and animals, adjusting immediately to new environments. Are you looking to skip the tiresome puppy stage and welcome home the perfect companion? Are you searching for love this Valentine’s Day? We think Sugar Bear might just be the one for you! This love bug is super affectionate, cuddly and a "kissy boy"—he really lays on those kisses. We strongly encourage basic obedience training for all our dogs, as it not only helps your dog blossom into a well-balanced canine citizen with good manners, but it also helps to form a lasting bond between your dog and the humans in your family. This handsome man is patiently waiting for his forever family. Will you open up your heart and home to sweet Sugar Bear? An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
