Meet Gary
Gary the Bloodhound gentle giant is sniffing about for a forever home and family ready to make room for a well-behaved, easy-going boy to love and cherish. He is a young boy of around 1 and a half years old and he looks forward to getting older over the years with his forever family by his side.Gary came into rescue as an owner surrender. He is a very large dog at 98 pounds and sports a sweet personality ready-made for anything from walking around the neighborhood to walking in the woods where he can put his nose to the ground and follow where it leads. He has spent time with children and dogs, so he is perfectly at ease with such creatures. It is not known whether Gary is comfortable with cats. Gary is continuing to master house, leash and crate training. Rescue dogs can have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, new family and new routines. If crate training is planned, Gary needs a very large crate so he can stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out and must never be used for punishment. Bloodhounds are generally placid, easy going gentle giants with a great sense of smell so if hiding treats and toys for Gary to find sounds like fun, Gary is ready and eager to become your forever friend. The adoption fee for Gary is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
