Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Peep

Meet Peep, the sweetest little beagle with her soft white and brown fur and an adorable personality to match! She’s medium-sized (though she’s working on shedding a few pounds), and she’s leash trained, ready for all your adventures. Peep has the cutest habit of tossing her toys in the air when no one’s around to play fetch, keeping herself entertained. She loves sniffing around the yard, going for walks, playing fetch, and, of course, napping in cozy spots.Peep is great with other dogs, especially outside where she’s playful and fun. While she enjoys human snuggles on the couch, she can get a bit jealous if other dogs try to join in. She may thrive best with larger dogs who can match her playful energy. Her experience with cats is a mystery, as she hasn’t met any in her foster home yet. She’s fully house trained, not a runner, and doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety—she’s perfectly content in her crate when needed. On walks, she’s only scared of loud trucks like trash trucks, but otherwise, she’s brave! Peep isn’t a big barker either; she only chimes in when her dog friends do, and there’s been no typical beagle howling! With medium energy, Peep enjoys attention and is learning not to jump up on people when she gets too excited. She’s super friendly, adjusting instantly to her foster home, and even charmed a 7-year-old she met!Peep’s full of love, personality, and charm, waiting for the perfect home to share all her cuddles and playtime!
