Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Honey

Meet Honey, a 5 month old beagle/ wired hair pointer mix with adorable orange and white spots. Weighing in at 20 pounds, this sweet girl has a loving, playful spirit that makes her an irresistible companion. Honey loves playing fetch, chewing on bones, and playing with toys, especially with her foster dog sister. She has great recall and responds well to whistles and claps.Honey is very social with people and greets everyone with a wagging tail and wiggling body, sitting patiently for pets. She enjoys the company of other dogs but may bark at first until she becomes more comfortable. With cats, she’s curious but not aggressive, making her a good fit for households with feline friends. She’s made great strides in crate training and can now settle down after just a little whine, but she still needs regular bathroom breaks to avoid accidents. Though Honey can be a bit vocal, especially around strange noises or new dogs, her medium energy and love for snuggles balance out her feisty, playful personality. Honey would thrive in a home with another dog, as she has shown how much she enjoys a companion to help ease any initial anxiety.Honey is ready to bring lots of love, fun, and companionship to her forever home!
