Burlington County Animal Alliance

Burlington County Animal Alliance is a private, independent, 501(3)(c) nonprofit animal advocacy group, that was founded in 1999 by Lorraine Schrieber and Barb Giano who have a love for animals. To date, we have around 60 members of BCAA. We focus primarily on rescue and adoption of shelter dogs and cats in high kill shelters and surrounding areas in New Jersey. Our main focus is to make the public aware of the numbers of homeless dogs and cats there are in shelters and to promote adoption of these animals. We advocate spaying and neutering of all companion animals to counteract the overpopulation of dogs and cats and to end the tragedy of euthanizing healthy, unwanted companion pets.

Meet Betty

Betty is a delightful, happy-go-lucky two-year-old weighing 52 lbs with an incredible story of resilience. She and her puppy ended up in a high-kill shelter, but we were able to get them both to safety just in time. Despite her tough start, Betty’s easygoing personality and sweet nature shine through, and she’s always ready to bring a smile to your face.Betty loves to play and gets along well with other dogs, always up for some friendly fun! However, she shows a bit too much interest in cats, so some caution is needed around them. Calm and laid-back, Betty is just as happy lounging around as she is going for walks. She’s wonderful on a leash and will sit obediently when asked. Her gentle nature and affectionate demeanor make her the perfect companion for a loving home.Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, Betty will be your best friend! Apply at bcaaofnj.org
