Chacha is a sweet baby girl weighing approximately 17 lbs. She’s 18 months old, with chocolate and tan long /soft wire hair. She’s playful and eager to please, which means she’s doing great at training. She’s very beautiful, has a happy puppy demeanor, and loves to see her people. Environment Chacha would be a great addition to almost any home. She has a lot of energy so having a fenced yard to explore, play, and burn it off would be super fun for her. In the yard, she will give chase to prey, so she’d need to be secure for her safety, but we haven’t seen any digging. She’s quiet most of the time other than barking at new visitors or something she sees out of the window, so shared walls shouldn’t be an issue. Chacha is already crate- and house-trained but since she is still young, she shouldn’t go longer than four hours without a potty break. Pets & People Chacha is vocal with visitors, but not for long. She just wants to get to know them. She has done brilliantly with an 8- and 9-year-old and would love to play with respectful children. On walks, she has been very vocal towards other dogs—but not aggressive—and is fine in the home with her foster’s dog. She didn’t have boundaries regarding the other dog’s food at first but has since learned to give space and follow the order of the pack. Training & Health She’s had a five week training course and has learned commands such as come, sit, heel, stay, quiet, and find it. Chacha will need to continue to work on her training to solidify with her new family. She's also been working on her leash walking to stop barking at people and other dogs. Location & Adoption Chacha is available for adoption from Newland, NC. She loves the car and is looking forward to a car ride to her new home—hopefully soon. Please email her foster, Charlotte, at [email protected] with any questions or click the ‘Adopt’ button above to complete an application. The adoption fee for Chacha is $325.
