Meet Molly & Arthur (bonded pair)

After being abandoned by their owner and subsequently rescued by a good samaritan who contacted Brookline to help find them a forever home, this incredible 1 year-old bonded pair has started to learn what being loved feels like. Arthur (yellow lab) and Molly (chocolate lab) spent the beginning of their lives living outside in a yard in Philadelphia. They were rescued, but had to stay in a workshop with just each other for 20-22 hours a day. Before staying with their foster parents, they had never lived in a home. They have come so far in a short period of time and spend most of their time cuddling with their foster mom and foster sister (Black Lab), watching tv, sharing toys and playing chase in the backyard, and watching everything from their perches at the top of the staircase. As long as they are let out on a regular schedule, there are no accidents in the house. Both dogs have had free roam in the house, both supervised and unsupervised. They are both working on their leash manners when out for walks. Molly and Arthur are incredibly cautious and take some time to adjust to new people, but do well with both large and small dogs. They will need love and patience when they are adjusting to their new home, but once they realize how lucky they are to be with someone that loves them, they become your shadow and never let you forget how loved you are. Adoption Process
All applicants complete an application and have a home visit before being approved to adopt. Once approved to adopt, they wait to find the right dog for their family. They are required to sign a pre-adoptive agreement and keep the dog they are matched with for a 3 week pre-adoptive period. If all goes well during that period, they sign an adoption agreement and adopt the dog. The fees vary depending on the age and altered status of the dog. We do require all dogs to be altered if they are not already and require obedience training as well
