Meet Katherine
Katherine was surrendered to the shelter with two other dogs. It is obvious Katherine has had many litters in her past and we bet she was the best mom ever, with her kind and gentle dispostion. Kathering loves to be right in your lap if you will let her, but if she can't she will snuggle her body into the fuzziest dog bed she can find! Katherin does well with other animals and still loves to play, but more than playing Katherine values you the comforts of life - napping and food!
Adoption Process
When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.

Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, we like to have a phone chat to get a feel for the kind of dog that you’re looking for. Next, we have you fill out a foster application. After that, we come to your house with a carload of dogs for you to choose from and have you foster the dog of your choosing for a week to make sure that it’s a good fit. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!
Our adoption fee is $300.
