Meet Peanut
Howdy Friend! I am Peanut. I'm a standard shorthair purebred tan-colored dachshund boy. My foster mama says I'm a big boy because I weigh 30lbs! I am three years old but still have a puppy-like wonder because I haven't had a chance to experience a lot of the world. Sometimes I get a little nervous and spin in a circle and bark because a lot of things are new to me. My foster mommy sometimes calls me "Pea-nutty" because I have some quirks. I am not sure about little kids or cats, but I think I would like older kids…maybe a brother or sister doggy to play with. I love my new squeaky toys, running free, wrestling, and playing with my other doggie friends. I got to go swimming the other day. I'm not very good at it yet, but I like it! I have been trying a lot of new foods lately and I love them so much that sometimes I get a little nervous that someone is going to take it away when I'm eating. I get to sleep in a big warm bed, and I'm learning how to give kisses. I just learned how to cuddle, especially with my foster dad. My new favorite. Can you spend some time with me??? I don't really like kennels. They are scary and lonely. I know I can be the best doggie if you just give me a chance.
