Meet Atticus

COMING SOON!Atticus is a small and snuggly mix who may possibly have some beagle in him, but we were happy to take him into our rescue without a DNA test! He was found on the side of the road in Mississippi with another dog, both VERY skinny and scrounging for food. Our friends at Roadside Rescue Network brought them to safety and we are grateful to them for all the good work they do! Currently Atticus is at their shelter and has proved himself to be very friendly with people, although sometimes just a tiny bit shy at first meeting. He is doing very well with other dogs and is quite playful. At the shelter he appears to have a moderate to high energy level. Atticus is tolerant of being crated and is fair to good on leash. Great news... He is heartworm negative! When he comes to Florida he will be ready to go on sleepover.
