Sugar is a 7 year old Manchester Terrier/Black and Tan Coon Hound weighing 54 pounds. This sweet little girl was tied to our railing and needless to say, petrified. She did have a growth on her leg removed which was malignant but they got it all out with a good margin. She is great with people, especially men. She gets along with dogs and cats, but is food aggressive and must be separated from them during feeding time or giving treats. Due to Sugar's size and strength, she should not be around small children (she thinks she is a small dog--she could easily knock a small child over unintentionally--just being safe). She loves taking walks and laying in the sun. She does not like being separated from "her person" when outside and will stay close when she is off her leash. She is very obedient, does not beg for human food, and doesn't get up on furniture unless invited. Sugar is a collector of blankets and will fill her bed with as many as she can. Sugar is currently in foster care. If you'd like to meet her, you must do so via appointment only. Her adoption donation is $150 which includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip. She is heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. She has so much love to give and been through so much so please give her the forever home she is anxiously waiting for. We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida.
