Meet Winston

Spay/Neuter of dog is scheduled at a vet of our choosing and is part of the adoption fee - date will be on the adoption contract - this is if not already sterilized.   Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   [email protected] Winston the Weimaraner was hit by a car in South Tampa on October 4, 2022 and was left to die until a Good Samaritan pulled over and took him to the vet.  The great community of South Tampa reached out to Heidi's Legacy to help and we stepped up to the plate. Winston did fracture both his back legs and had surgery at Fetch (October 9,2022). Winston's doing well he's actually already walking but he will be on crate rest for the next 6 to 8 weeks.  He is to remain on crate rest & only taken on potty breaks on a leash.    Winston the Weimaraner was born March 31, 2019 he gets along with dogs, cats and kids. The bill at Fetch was $9,400 and we just barely collected half...we are still collecting donations. Winston will be scheduled for neuter as soon as he's medically clear and the obedience training does not have to be complete until after he's also medically clear. Winston is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. He is on heartworm and flea preventative. Winston's adoption fee is $800 - obedience training will need to be complete once medically clear Obedience training is also required for all our pups.    Please email us the completion certificate.
