Meet Kalani
A GENTLE & LOVING FRIEND: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 16 lbs. Hi, my name’s Kalani! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control. The volunteers are making sure I get lots of love and attention while I am here, and I am most grateful for that. Now, it is time for me to find my own family to love and be loved by. Plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and though I wasn’t ready to play with them, I also didn’t show any aggression, so if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet girl with a friendly and gentle demeanor. My fun spirit makes me a volunteer favorite, and I am sure you will love me, too! I’m affectionate and playful – ready to bring lots of love to my new family. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I’ve been a great student and have mastered the following commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and demonstrating proper door etiquette. Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I'm having some accidents on the shelter schedule. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: A loving girl, I was well-behaved for my shelter bath and nail trim and I especially enjoyed being held, as I love attention. When it is playtime, I break out into fun zoomies in the play yard. I’d enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can have great play sessions. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a great home with a loving, furever family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
