Meet Tater
‘SPUDS’ THEMED PUPPY: Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 32 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Tater – one of the two adorable Spuds themed pups. My sister and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control. I’m so glad we made our way to Mostly Mutts, because soon after my arrival, I tested positive for parvo! Oh no! I felt really terrible, but I received the proper vetting to overcome it, and I am now happy, healthy, and ready for my ‘happily ever after’ with my new family! Let’s meet soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I love my sibling and the other dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, so I would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met kids at Mostly Mutts, and I liked them, so if you have kids at home, let’s meet and best no toddlers I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: Among the volunteers, I quickly gained the reputation as a very sweet boy with a playful and happy demeanor. They say I am a ‘lovebug type dog’ with lots of affection for my people. I have a gentle and obedient nature, which bodes well for my puppy training. Curious, playful and fun-loving, I am sure to bring lots of love to my new home. / My energy level is currently 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I’ve already learned the ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘come’ commands, and I can’t wait to learn even more. I am quite smart with focused attention and I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve had accidents on the shelter schedule and will need my new family to be committed to finish potty training me! • LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy going for walks and those great play sessions in the Mostly Mutts play yard! True to my breed mix, I love exploring all the sights and smells while I am out and about. I am exuberant about most things I do - which includes meal time - so a slow feeder is recommended for me. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
