AN ADORABLE LAP DOG:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 7 lbs. Hello there, I’m Gianna!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  The volunteers are taking great care of me, and I am super happy to be part of the Mostly Mutts family.  Now, I hear it is time to find a family of my very own.  Come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry best friend! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was a bit nervous.  I didn’t show any aggression, but I also wasn’t ready to play with them, so if you have a sweet dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be friends, / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me as I’m very small. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who definitely sees myself as a loving little lap dog. I was great for my shelter bath, and I happily wag my whole body when I see folks headed my way for some love.  I’m fun and playful, but keep an eye on me as I can slip though gates and have escape artists skills.  I should NOT be left alone outside, as I’m very small and could be attractive to birds of prey. / My energy level is 3-5.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I don’t know any specific commands yet, but perhaps you can teach me some. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.      • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with people and will be super happy to be held and settle into a comfy lap.  When the volunteers break out the toys at the shelter, I am always interested in them, so perhaps we can find some together that I’ll love playing with. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.   I am looking for a loving home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
