My name is Lois Vassilion and I moved to this impoverished area of SE Ga. 15 years ago. My main profession is a Critical Care Nurse. When my husband and I got here, we discovered there were no animal services in the county and abandoned pets everywhere. We started BARC at that time to provide health services to these pets and a home.

Meet Winnie

BARC introduces Winnie! This little girl was born the first week of February to a Staffordshire terrier. She is very sweet and lovable. She has the cutest puppy pounce and still has puppy breath. She loves to play and is the perfect age to integrate with other pets! She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and rescue pays for spaying when old enough. All she needs is someone to love. Adoption Process
The person must fill out an online application and be approved. They sign a contract and are given a copy of the health record. Our adoption fees range from $100-$350 depending on the adoptability of the pet.
