Meet Rocky
Rocky is a gentle loving lab mix. He’s around 5 years old with the energy of a puppy. Once adjusted to his new home, Rocky will become a loyal family member who wants nothing more but to play with you and give you endless amounts of cuddles and kisses. While he has great energy and enjoys walks and outside play chasing sticks, he does enjoy lounging around and sleeping on the couch. Rocky thinks he’s a small lap dog and will try every chance he gets to climb up onto you. If you’ve got a blanket covering you, beware because he will try to get under it and steal your warmth. He loves blankets especially if you’re under it! He’s a big baby when it comes to thunderstorms and feels safest when in your lap. He does well if alone during a thunderstorm but may want a safe place to retreat to like a crate with blankets and pillows. Meal time may be his favorite time of the day because he jumps around like a kangroo and has the cutest talk while you prepare his food. Rocky thrives on routines. If breakfast is at 7, he’ll let you know. If dinner is at 6pm, he’ll be sure to let you know it’s feeding time. Rocky is house and crate trained. He prefers free roam of the house while alone but will do just fine crated with a bed or blankets if need be. He does great at doggy daycares and boarding facilities. He’s also good around kids but will need to be reminded to not jump. Overall, Rocky needs a home that will allow him to use up his energy, create a safe loving environment, and get lots of attention. His bond is like no other dog.
