Meet Cullen

A FUN & LOVABLE GUY:  Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 14 lbs.    Hi, my name’s Cullen!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and boy I’m grateful for the good care I am getting here.  I came in with a lot of fur loss and skin issues as well as ear infections due to neglect.  Some time has passed now and I’m coming along so well – healing and just so happy!  I’m also heartworm positive, but I’ve been treated for that and am in my rest period now.  I have some decreased hearing, possibly from the previously untreated ear infections, but I don’t let it bother me at all!  I’m now ready to meet my new family and live a great life with them!     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked playing with them a lot!  I was also friendly with the neighbor’s dog in my previous foster home and wanted to play and engage with them through the fence.  If you have a dog that would love a playful friend, let’s meet, though I can’t play with them until after I’ve recovered from my heartworm treatment. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a cuddly and affectionate guy with a very happy demeanor.  A social fellow, the volunteers describe me as ‘fun, busy, darling and lovable’ with a personality that is ‘beyond cute’, so be ready to have your heart stolen.  I’ll alert you to people at the door and sometimes on walks, though I have been very friendly when they approach me. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I have mastered the ‘sit’ and ‘come’ commands and look forward to learning even more.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts, though I would rather be with people, and I loved sleeping in my foster’s bed in my previous foster home.  It would be nice if I could do that in my new home, too. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule, though my previous foster said I was really starting to catch on with my potty habits with them.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like snuggling, being picked up and those great belly rubs!  Treats are great, and I also enjoy running around and playing, though I won’t be able to do that until I’ve fully recovered from my heartworm treatment.  I’m curious while out and about and enjoy my walks.  Car rides are fun, and I do well on them, so – let’s ride! / I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a heartworm preventative, and I've tested heartworm positive.  Thankfully, I’ve been treated for it and am in my recovery period now, which will conclude early to mid-May.  I will have my heartworm re-check in November.  I am still available for adoption during this time, but local adoption only, please. I have some decreased hearing that doesn’t bother me, and I hope you won’t mind either.  I’m getting medicated baths while my fur continues to grow in, and these can be done in my new home.  I am looking for a wonderful family who will see me through my heartworm treatment and love me for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility.
