Meet Dove
‘DOVE’S PUP’ THEMED MOMMA: Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 50 lbs. Hi, my name’s Dove! My puppy and I found ourselves at animal control in need of rescue. Enter Mostly Mutts, and our future immediately became brighter. A wonderful foster family took us in, and I raised my puppy there and now he has been adopted and I’m ready to find my furever family where I can live out my senior years in love and luxury! Everyone who has met me says that I’m ‘a real gem’ who deserves the best life, and I think you will agree! Since I’ve finished raising my puppy, I’m in a different foster home and here are things that both fosters have said about me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: My initial foster reported that I was good with the multiple other dogs I lived with while I was with them, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts and seemed to like the more mellow dogs. There aren’t dogs in my current foster home, but I met a neighbor’s dog and did well with them, too. / I did well with the cat in my initial foster home – occasionally trying to entice them to run so I could chase. So, if you have a dog-friendly kitty that won’t run, I think we’ll do well together with a good introduction. There aren’t cats in my current foster home. / I loved the two kids in my first foster home (ages 7 and 10) so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. There aren’t kids in my current foster home. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: According to my fosters, I am ‘the perfect house guest’ with the best personality! I’m social with people and content to go for a walk or hang out on the couch with them and a nice blanket. I am a sweet and loving girl with a wonderful demeanor. Though I am older, I have a playful streak that emerges on occasion with you or the other dogs in my foster home. I have lots of love for my people, too. I’m pretty laid back and easy to hang around with – a great companion! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and ‘leave-it’ commands and I’m ready to learn even more. / I’ve proven myself to be trustworthy in the house, so I don’t really need to be crated, but I will stay in one with just occasionally protesting so my first foster covered it with a light sheet, and I quieted down. I don’t use a crate in my current foster home, and I get to sleep in bed with them, so I’d love that in my new home if allowed. / My potty habits have been great in my foster homes, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like chew bones and my toys. Being with people makes me happy – regardless of what we are doing, I love it all. Walks, playing with toys, keeping you company on the couch, going for a pup cup treat, napping with my head on your lap, riding in the car – I am all in! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, a little exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. A few of my teeth are ground down from chewing – likely something I had to deal with before coming to Mostly Mutts, but it doesn’t bother me. I have mild tartar on a few teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a furever home where I will be a much-loved family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
