Meet Indy
A TRUE SWEETHEART: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 17 lbs. Hello, my name’s Indy! I found myself at animal control, and thankfully, Mostly Mutts rescued me. I got a case of pneumonia, but thankfully with great care, I’ve fully recovered from that! I’m in a wonderful foster home now and I hear that it’s time for me to find my very own family to love! Perhaps you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’m getting along very well with the two older, male dogs that live in my foster home. My foster feels I would enjoy a doggie friend in my new home, so – if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts and I was a little nervous – it seems I just need time to get to know them. / I co-exist pretty well with the cats in my foster home with supervision. I’m not aggressive toward them, but I will try to chase on occasion, so it may be stressful for some kitties to live with me. / I live with teenagers in my foster home, and I really like them. So, if you have kids that will be gentle with me, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster says I have ‘the sweetest and most loving personality’, which makes me ‘an excellent companion’. I am very much a people dog – social and loving. I’m also an easy-going guy who – even when a ‘bark fest’ breaks out in my foster home, I’ve been on the quieter side. My calm and gentle demeanor is sure to warm your heart, especially if you’re looking for a sidekick that is full of love. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the ‘sit’ command and am working on ‘stay’ and ‘leave it’ in my foster home. My foster thinks I’m very smart! / My crate manners are good in my foster home. I sleep quietly in the crate next to my foster’s bed. / Though I had accidents at the shelter, I’ve not had accidents at all in my foster home, and I have been immediately using the bathroom when my foster takes me outside for potty breaks. Hopefully, that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like walks and running around in the yard with foster family, but I’m just as happy to hang out with you in the house. I am all about collecting petting and all the cuddles that come my way, as I LOVE attention. My favorite activity in my foster home is snuggling in a lap or lying beside you on the couch or in the bed at night while you watch TV or read. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful furever family that will love me as much as I’ll love them! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
