Meet Candy
‘VALENTINE’ THEMED PUPPY: Approx. 2 months old / Approx. 6 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Candy – a super cute and lovable puppy! I came from a situation where there were just way too many dogs, so animal control helped me and quite a few others work our way to Mostly Mutts, so I can find a new family to love! I’m a wonderful puppy looking for a great family to raise and love me furever – perhaps you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I’m young and currently kept separate from the dog in my foster home for now, though I seem curious about them and unafraid. I love my sibling who shares my foster home and would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home. If you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I haven’t met kitties yet, but I’m very young so I’d likely do well with them if they like puppies. / I haven’t met kids in my foster home, but I’d likely enjoy them as long as they are gentle with me and best no toddlers that may fall on me. Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster describes me as ‘the cutest’ puppy who is playful with toys, social and loving with people. I’ve adjusted well in my foster home and have not been bothered by new or strange noises. The Mostly Mutts photographer was impressed with how adorable I was during my photo session. I’m rather athletic and a great jumper for my little size! I am the leader between my sibling and me. / My energy level is currently 5-7, though this could change as I grow up. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good in my foster home, where I love to sleep with my brother. Of course, there will likely be an adjustment in my new home. / I’m doing well with inside potty pad training but will need you to potty train me as I’m just a baby and am at the perfect age to start my outside potty training in our yard. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play with my brother, and I also love toys – the bigger the better! Be sure they are sturdy though, as I love to chew on them … and most everything else – lol. I also love being in laps and have a curious nature – so I like checking things out. / I don’t love the water, but tolerate my baths like a trooper. Otherwise, I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
