Meet Tyler (GA)
Tiny 2-year-old Tyler was found beside a road in a remote area of Louisiana, unable to walk or stand. The Good Samaritan who found him contacted New Rattitude, and we knew immediately where he would have his best chance for recovery. It was with one of our foster parents who has had great success helping non-ambulatory dogs walk again. Working with her veterinarians, she started Tyler on a treatment plan that combined Eastern and Western protocols. Tyler received acupuncture and therapeutic laser treatments as well as Chinese herbal and modern medications. Within weeks, the 9 1/2-lb. rat terrier was running, playing, and climbing stairs! Tyler is well-behaved and reliably house-trained. He is good with other dogs, but he likes to be the sole subject of Foster Mom's attention. (He's not good with cats and will chase them when he sees them.) He loves to snuggle under the covers at night but is content in his dog playpen when the humans have to go out. He would do best in a quiet home as an only dog or perhaps with one other dog. You can see more photos and video of terrific, tenacious Tyler at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/tylersimageevent .
