Meet Danica

A SWEET & FUN GIRL:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 29 lbs. & needs to gain a little more weight Hi, my name is Danica!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so glad they did!  I’m having a great time in my foster home and have just heard that I’m ready to be adopted by my furever family!  So exciting!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I really like the other dogs in my foster home and am learning cues from them for when it’s time to stop playing, so if you have a sweet dog at home already, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I met and love the neighborhood kids in my foster home that are around 9 years old, and I recently met some kids at Mostly Mutts around 10 years old and liked them too, so if you have kids around those ages, let’s meet!  Best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Before going into my foster home, I was known around the shelter as the ‘sweet and active girl with the cutest underbite’.  I have a playful nature and – though a bit nervous initially, my foster dad won me over with a treat!  Now I love and trust him too.  I have an affectionate and very friendly demeanor with a good amount of energy. I made a good impression during my photo shoot with the MM photographer, and I was calm and wonderful for my shelter bath and ear cleaning.  A loving and fun girl, I bet you will agree that I am a great companion for a lucky family. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and I’m sure you can teach me lots more. / My crate manners are good in my foster home – I sleep in it quietly at nighttime. / My potty habits have been good in my foster home on a schedule.  I’ve started going to the door but don’t bark that I need to go out yet.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention and especially those good neck and belly rubs. I also like soft dog beds, naps and toys, so let’s play. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I have an old break in my right rear leg that the vet checked out and can see that it’s healing well. It doesn’t cause me any pain, but I could get arthritis a little earlier than some other dogs, so I’m on an inexpensive over-the-counter Cosequin tablet daily to help with that and should stay on it for life.  I am looking for a great home with a loving, furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal.
