Meet Maggie - Blue Leopard Catahoula Mix

Lovely Maggie is a stunning blue leopard Catahoula mix with one solid blue eye and a blue chip in the other. Catahoula's are smart, energetic, attentive to their owners and want to please. At around 4 years old, Maggie is about small at 55 pounds, microchipped, heartworm-negative, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She’s a sweetheart who thrives on being close to her human—whether snuggling, lounging on the couch, or napping. While she’s mostly a couch potato, Maggie would gladly join in on walks, hikes, or car rides to spend quality time with her person. Meal time is Maggie’s absolute favorite part of the day, and her enthusiasm is unmatched—she nearly does backflips when her food bowl is being prepared. She eats quickly but without choking and isn’t food-protective, likely because she finishes her meals so fast! Afterward, she’s ready for a good nap, preferably curled up between pillows on your bed, where she’d happily stay all day if allowed. Maggie has a sweet little groan she uses to request affection and is perfectly content to bask in love and attention. She gets along wonderfully with male dogs but has had conflicts with a dominant female dog in the past, though she might do well with a submissive female. Ideally, Maggie would flourish as an only dog, soaking up all the attention she craves. She has a high prey drive, so a home without cats is essential. Maggie is very well crate-trained and will eagerly run into her crate for a treat. Rescued from animal control in North Georgia, Maggie’s history is largely unknown, but her affectionate personality and love for her humans make her an incredible companion. Maggie was taken in by a wonderful woman who has three other dogs. It is just too many dogs in a small home and she does not get along with the female.  Maggie was the last to come in and thus must find a new home. It's not her fault and we are glad she is out of the high kill shelter, but she must find a new home. If you like this amazing breed, you will LOVE her! Adoption Process
First there is an application, then the meeting, then the animal is brought to its potential new home, then there is a foster/trial period, after a month or so we make the final adoption. Fees may vary, but the standard is $275 for dogs and the standard is $125 for cats. All animals are fully vetted and up to date on shots at adoption. If at anytime and for any reason, the animal is not working in the new household, we will take them back.
