Meet Valentina
A TOTAL SWEETHEART: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 21 lbs. Hi, my name is Valentina! Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control. I was scared when I first arrived, but I realized I am in a caring environment and am doing much better. I spent a ‘snowcation’ in a great temporary foster home during the recent snow event and a little time in another temp. foster home and now I am ready to find my very own home and family to love – so exciting! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: During my snowcation, my foster said I was playful with their dogs – but I do still need to learn about personal space, so if you have a nice doggie at home looking for an energetic playmate, let’s meet! I also played with a female dog in another temporary foster home. I should be fed separately, as once I’m finished with my food, I’ll try to eat theirs, too, and I do compete for attention a little – not in an aggressive way though. / Cats unknown. / I have been around teenagers (ages 13-18) in both of my short break foster homes, and I liked them. Best no toddlers or small children that I may bump over, and – of course, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a playful and affectionate girl with lots of energy that puts me at the ‘top of my game’ in both of these areas. I’m serious about seeking out your attention and am ready to be an active companion. A super sweet snuggler, I’ll be sure you get lots of cuddles, too. Though I can be a bit timid and shy, I have a curious and friendly nature that you will also love. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of commands with my trainer. I already know the ‘sit’ command, and I am working on ‘down’ and my leash manners now. I’m ready to learn even more! / My crate manners were good in my foster home, with just a little whining and then I settled in nicely for some good sleep. They are also good at the MM shelter. / My potty habits were good in my foster homes on a regular let-out schedule, with just a couple of initial accidents as I got used to the schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play and play some more! Toys are always fun! I’m also quite a foodie and will inhale mine, so a slow feeder may be best for me. I’m a bit of a counter surfer, so I’ll need you to help me establish my manners – lol. I love to follow my people around to keep them company and I sometimes pick something up and take it to another room. / I startle with loud noises, but once I know what they are, I think I’ll adjust well. I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a loving home where I will be a cherished family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
