Meet Knox
A SMART & ADORABLE PUPPY: Approx. 5 months old / Approx. 23 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Knox! I was super happy when Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control. I’ve been having fun with the volunteers who come to spend time with me, and I recently spent a few days in a great short break foster home. Now, I can’t wait to find a home and family of my very own soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: At the shelter, I am known as ‘a delightful little pup – calm and sweet’. From day one, I was wonderful for my bath and nail trim too. In my short break foster home, I was friendly and quickly learned to play with toys. All the guests that visited me there remarked how well-mannered I was. A fast learner, I listened well and learned skills in the few days I was there. I’m ready to bring my puppy love and playfulness to my new home! / My energy level is 4-6, of course this could change as I grow up. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m in the Mostly Mutts University training program and I look forward to learning a lot with my trainer! Check back soon to see what I’ve learned. In my short break foster home, I respond to the ‘sit’ command 85% of the time and respond well to corrections. If they told me ‘down’ or ‘leave it’ only once or twice, I listened well. I’m a smart pup eager to learn even more and I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to become a great adult dog! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. In my short break foster home, where I slept for three nights, I whined initially each night, but I only howled the second night and quieted down after a few minutes. / I’ve had several accidents on the shelter schedule, but by day two in my short break foster home, I was going potty quickly outside and learning on their good take-out schedule. All three nights there, I had no accidents in my crate while sleeping through the night. Yay me! • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being with people – whether napping on or near them or engaging in a fun play session – I am happiest when hanging out with them. Chew toys, especially the Kong, are favorites of mine, too. Chasing a tennis ball around the yard is also one of the best activities, so – let’s play! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. I have a heart murmur grade 2 to 3 out of 6 that doesn’t require any medication at this time. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets.
