Courtesy Post: Ruby Ruby is a sweet girl that likes to play. She still has the puppy zoomies but she calms down and she listens. Ruby enjoys affection and would happily crawl in your lap and give you a kiss. She likes toys and is learning to play fetch. She is being fostered and she does not mess in her kennel. Ruby has a lovely reddish-colored coat and her birthdate is 4/28/24. She weighs 25 lbs and she would probably enjoy being with another playful dog her size. Ruby has been spayed and microchipped and is up to date on her shots. Ruby is ready for a forever home. Please contact [email protected] for more information. This pup is posted as a courtesy and is not affiliated with the Humane Society of McCormick County (HSMC). The HSMC is not liable for this pup and an adoption of this pup would be independent of the HSMC. This courtesy post is in collaboration with the McCormick County Sheriff’s Office to help cats and dogs in our community find good homes.
Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
