AN ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 25 lbs. Hi, my name is Kalista!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I am happy to be part of the Mostly Mutts family.  Unfortunately, I soon came down with pneumonia – but, with the great care and attention from the vet and volunteers at Mostly Mutts, I’ve made a complete recovery and am ready to meet my new family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I have a more dominant nature with other dogs.  I may try to mount them and bark upon meeting, so if you have a dog at home that doesn’t mind letting me be the dominant dog in the family, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.     • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m an active and friendly girl with an interesting color/coat that is sure to catch your eye.  I have a playful nature, and the volunteers have noted how affectionate I am and that I enjoy being held and loved.  I also showed my wonderful nature during my shelter bath as I was a good girl.  My reputation as a snuggle bug precedes me, so come find out how sweet I am! / My energy level is 5-7, so I would like to do some regular activities with my family – let’s have fun!   • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’ve already mastered several commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and ‘leave it’.  Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to spend time with people and get excited when I see the volunteers heading my way with a leash because I know it’s time to have fun and go for a walk with them.  I also love toys and hope that there are lots in my new home!  When it’s snuggle time, I love nothing more than being held and loved on. / I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life!   My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
