Courtesy Post: Hitch Hitch is about 6 months old and weighs around 35lbs. He likes to talk back to you. He and 3 of his siblings are still available. They are all friendly and enjoy playing with each other and testing out toys. They have started their shots and will be neutered/spayed soon. Please contact [email protected] for more information. The HSMC is not liable for this pup and an adoption of this pup would be independent of the HSMC. This courtesy post is in collaboration with the McCormick County Sheriff's Office to help cats and dogs in our community find good homes.

Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
