Meet Warren

A BUSY & FUN LITTLE GUY:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 10 lbs.  Hi, my name is Warren, and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  I’ve been having fun here with all the nice volunteers and my trainer and have just gone into a foster home so there will be more info. about me soon. I’m ready to find a great family to have fun with as I am an active fellow! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t officially met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I have not been comfortable, and have been a bit reactive with the larger dogs I’ve seen, so if you have a smaller dog, let’s meet! / I visited a home with a kitty cat, and we all agree that I should not live with cats. / I recently met a boy and girl around 10 years old who respected my boundaries at Mostly Mutts and I liked them.  I don’t like my hind quarters touched much, so older kids such as 10+ who understand this boundary would be best for me and let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a sweet little guy, who is friendly, playful, affectionate and very active!  I’m full of energy, cute as can be and quite bouncy!  I do bark a good bit so I shouldn’t live in an apartment/condo type home, and I get underfoot, so I shouldn’t live in a home with anyone who is at risk of falling. I’d like a stay or work from home family member as I don’t think I’d be happy being alone for a full workday. I’m super excited to go car rides, so please make sure you keep me leashed as once we stop – I’m ready to run out and have some fun. / Energy level: 5 -7+  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I was working on the ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘place’ commands with my trainer before going into a foster home and I’m looking for someone who will be patient with me and is committed to working on my training as I seem to have a somewhat short attention span, but I know I can learn with positive reinforcement!  / My crate manners are pretty good at Mostly Mutts, though I’m in a room with other dogs and can be barky about that so we found that covering my crate with a sheet is helpful.  I don’t think this will be needed in my new home – but time will tell. / I’ve had some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please be consistent with taking me outside to potty and hopefully I’ll master my potty manners soon.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like playing with toys and running around and being silly!  My fur is like silk so I’m sure you will love petting me and I like being loved on. / I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time home alone and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future.  When I arrived at Mostly Mutts, my fur was tangled and very matted in my hind quarters, so I’ve been nicely groomed now, but my hind quarters are still very sensitive to touch.  I’m a great little dog looking for a great family to love and take good care of me furever!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
