Meet Puff in GA - Laid-back, Affectionate Sweetheart!
Affectionate Puff, who was once a stray, is the most loving, gentle, laid-back, velcro dog you will ever meet. Puff is learning to ride in the car, and enjoys taking adventures to meet new people during outings to Home Depot, Tractor Supply, outdoor restaurants, and thrift stores. Puff is very interested in meeting children, but prefers if toddlers don’t come towards her in a rush. Non-confrontational Puff likes dogs to approach her for a meeting, and will do well with an active male dog to play with. Puff has met both indoor and outdoor cats and is comfortable hanging out with them. Puff loves to be outside, and barks very little, just to alert. She will need an 6-foot privacy fence, as she has some stellar leaping capabilities and can jump shorter ones. She likes to lie down while she eats, conserving her energy for more fun things, like walking with her humans. - She walks extremely well on leash and would love to take her humans on trips around the neighborhood! Sweet Puff needs a patient family to help build her confidence and shower her with love. NYS Registered Non-Profit Rescue # RR102. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding. Please visit Fostering FAQ for an application and information about our fostering program. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page. More Information: Questions?
