Meet Angela

A VERY SWEET FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 21 lbs.  Hi, I’m Angela! I came to Mostly Mutts with a couple of other dogs that needed homes and I’m happy to be here! I’m in a wonderful foster home, living the good life and eagerly waiting to meet my new furever family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I came in with other dogs that I got along with, and I saw dogs while on walks with my former foster family. I curiously watched them with no negative reactions.  I’ve just gone into a new foster home with another dog, so there will be an update soon on how we are doing together. / There is a kitty in my new foster home, and she’s begun her cat lessons with me, so there will be more info. on that soon. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, or in my foster homes, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a total sweetheart by the volunteers that came to take care of and visit with me while I lived at the shelter. They said that I was initially shy and scared, but that I warmed up quickly once I knew I was in a safe place.  In my first foster home, I was playful, snuggly, sweet, and I’d lay my head on my foster’s lap which was adorable.  I really relaxed and enjoyed myself as I’m sure I’ll do in my new foster home. I’m a bit skittish with sudden loud noises but I think I’ll adjust to the sounds of my home given a little time.  I was also reported to ride well in the car. / My energy level was pretty low at the shelter,  however once I got into my foster home it seems to be about 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m new to leash walking, but I’m getting the hang of it, so I’m sure with continued practice, I’ll do well as I seem to like going for walks in quiet places. I also know the ‘sit’ command. / I wasn’t fond of the crate in my first foster home, but I tolerated it after barking for about 30 mins. I’ll likely need time to adjust to a crate in my new home with positive reinforcement.  I probably shouldn’t live in an apartment though. / I had good potty manners in my first foster home on a good take-out schedule – about every 4 – 6 hours.  I  only had a few accidents on the MM schedule, so hopefully I’ll do well with a little refresher in my new home!   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy chew bones, tennis balls, naps, blankets and beds.  I also like belly rubs and going for walks. / I can’t think of any dislikes though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a great family to love and take care of me.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
