Meet Avery

A SHY BUT SWEET GIRL:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 26 lbs. Hi, my name is Avery!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am most grateful!  I don’t recall my past, but I was not taken care of properly as I came in with some minor boo-boos on my face, ears, belly and tail that are being tended to and healing up nicely now. The love and care of the volunteers here is helping me open up and relax in my new environment and I’m settling in and starting to love LIFE.  I just KNOW a great one is waiting for me with an awesome new family.  Come meet me soon!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I arrived at Mostly Mutts sweet but scared, so the nice volunteers knew to go slow and spend time letting me get to know them – sure enough, I am beginning to accept all the love and attention that’s coming my way. I’m still a bit unsure, with a calm and submissive nature, but my cuddly demeanor is emerging and I’m warming up to being a loving and friendly girl.  Even though I was scared for my bath, I grew braver and sat calmly for the nail trim that followed.  By the time my second bath rolled around, I was a pro! / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer, as well as working on my leash skills (the leash is new to me).  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  As I grow more comfortable, spending time with the volunteers is just the BEST!  I especially love the yard at our new property next door.  I’d love a nice yard where we can spend time together for some great play sessions or just hanging out with you.  I love treats, so have those yummy things handy! / I’m very afraid of the passing trucks and cars around the shelter – hence my love of the MM yard!  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m getting medicated baths for a little while longer to help my skin finish healing up and these can be done in my new home.  I am looking for a loving home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets.
