Meet Winifred
FUN & FRIENDLY: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 29 lbs. Hello, I’m Winifred! I was at animal control, and it was my lucky day when Mostly Mutts came to rescue me! There are great things in store for me, and the volunteers are taking great care of me while I wait for my new family to find me. Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am YOUR new furry family member! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I was a bit shy with them, though I did warm up, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / I’ve not officially met cats, but I HAVE observed them through the window to the Kitty Aquarium at the shelter. I appear a bit too interested in them, so I do not think I should live with cats. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as a ‘sweet and wiggly’ girl with a happy and friendly nature. I was fabulous for my shelter bath and showed my affectionate side with kisses of appreciation when it was done. I will be a great companion for a family who is looking for a smart, curious and active fur friend. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer. I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’ command and will be working on my leash skills as I’m a bit of a puller, so check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having quite a few accidents on the shelter schedule. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I have a playful nature and really like when the volunteers pull out toys at the shelter. Whether we are playing or just hanging out for snuggles, I am sure to have a good time with you and soak up some love as my whole-body wiggles with joy when we’re together! / Other than my strong interest in cats, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home with a loving family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
