Meet Marcus

A BUNDLE OF ENERGY & FUN:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 22 lbs. Hi, my name’s Marcus!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  Since then, I’ve been enjoying lots of love and attention from the volunteers.  I now hear it is time for me to start my ‘happily ever after’ with a new family of my very own – so exciting!  Won’t you come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  If you look in the dictionary under ‘energetic’, they should have a picture of me!  I am super playful and am ready for lots of fun and activity in my new home.   I’m often ‘on the go’, but I have my calm and sweet side, as well. / My energy level is 6-8, so let’s have lots of fun together! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I already know the ‘sit’ command and will be learning more, too.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love, love, love stuffed toys!  I’ll gladly entertain you with my crazy antics when there are stuffies around!  Wherever there is activity, I want to be a part of it, so let’s have lots of fun and adventure together! / I can’t  think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great home with a wonderful family for life! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
