Meet Carrie

A SWEET LITTLE GIRL:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 9 lbs. Hi, I’m Carrie!  I’m one of the many dogs that was thankfully rescued when animal control stepped in and helped us work our way to Mostly Mutts!  I was saved from terrible conditions where we were not taken care of at all and were allowed to breed freely.  Now I’m in a great foster home and I’m looking forward to living a wonderful life in a loving home – perhaps with you? • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I lived with several dogs in my previous situation, but I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts or in my foster home yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I really like the children in my foster home, as well as their friends who come to visit (ages 6-9) as they are sweet and gentle with me.  So, if you have kids like this, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.                                 • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  At the shelter I was all about lap time, cuddles and treats.  My sweet personality continued to emerge in my foster home, where I have been a happy and playful ‘people dog’ – settling in well to the routine of a loving home. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  My foster family is working on the ‘sit’ and ‘leave it’ commands with me. I haven’t mastered them fully yet, but I am getting there.  I also come when called. I like treats, so I bet you can teach me even more. / My crate manners have been very good in my foster home when they run out for errands, etc. I also sleep there most nights and keep it clean. / I’m doing well with my potty training in my foster home.  I've had just a handful of accidents, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to run around in the back yard - chasing balls and playing with toys. I happily run with the kids and have great play sessions with them.  I also like to curl up in your lap for a nap. I will sleep in the bed with you if you allow that. I’m curious and have found my way onto the table on occasion and my foster family is helping me to stop that before it becomes a habit.  I also like to follow my family around the house to check on everyone, because I’m so sweet. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home where I will be a much loved family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
