‘MARK TWAIN’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 2 – 3 months old  / Approx. 7 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Tom!  I’m one of the many dogs that was thankfully rescued when animal control stepped in and helped us work our way to Mostly Mutts!  I was saved from terrible conditions and thankfully I’m young, so I don’t remember any of that and I’ve been in a wonderful foster home ever since I was rescued!     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and like to play with but I’m also respectful of the adult dogs in my foster home.  If you have a nice dog that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet. / I do well with the kitties in my foster home as I’m not really interested in them. / I love the 11- and 13-year-old in my foster home, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as super sweet, adorable and loving! I’m playful, fun and busy too with a great personality and I haven’t been a barker either!  Of course, I am a silly puppy who will grab a shoe and walk it around the house, so keep the good ones put away - lol! / My energy level is currently 4-6, this could change as I grow up.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. I’m working on the ‘sit’ command in my foster home and working on typical puppy manners. / I have free run of a large puppy area, but I also sleep well in my crate at night without barking or fussing.  Of course, there may be an adjustment period in my new home. / My potty training is coming along very well in my foster home.  I’m young so there are still some accidents but when I’m taken outside, I go potty right away!  I also use puppy pads in my foster home. Keep me on a good consistent schedule and I hope to master this soon.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like to run and play with toys and chase leaves out in our yard – so fun! Smaller stuffed toys are my favorite, and I like playing with the other dogs and the kids as well as getting some good cuddles! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats.
