Meet Marco

A SWEET & FUN LITTLE GUY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 9 lbs. Hi, my name is Marco!  I was rescued by Mostly Mutts from animal control and could not be more grateful.  They have taken great care of me, and now I am in a wonderful foster home.  I can’t wait to have a home of my very own – hopefully soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along with the dog in my foster home, though he doesn’t really want to play with me … yet – maybe soon (lol).  I’ve been somewhat tentative of dogs I have met while out and about on my walks. I would likely just need to get to know them, so if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet and see if we can be pals! / I’m a bit fixated on the kitty in my foster home and bark at her.  She’s very dog savvy and not afraid to communicate with her paws and claws, but it’s still a work in progress.  For now, I should probably not live with a kitty, especially one that would run from me or be afraid of me. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me, as I am a small guy. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as a fairly chill but also busy around the home little guy.  I’m pretty quiet - not barky (except for when trying to communicate with the kitty or the neighbor’s dog through the fence.) My house manners are polite, and I mostly wait to be invited on the couch. Basically, I am a super sweet and a non-dominant fellow who just wants to be your great companion. / My energy level is around 5 – 7 in my foster home.      • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I don’t yet know any specific commands, though my foster is working with me on the ‘come’ command.  As it is something I need to work on and I ‘seem to enjoy the chase’ – lol.  I’m learning my leash manners now while wearing a harness and I bet you can teach me lots of new things. / In my foster home, I am quiet in my crate and settle in quickly. / My potty habits are a work-in-progress.  I did some marking when I first arrived in my foster home, but that has improved (and I suspect that my neuter will help even more).  Please be consistent with me on a good schedule with positive reinforcement, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love toys of all kinds and in the words of my foster – I am ‘a skilled murderer of soft toys’.  I also enjoy mealtimes and have the reputation of a ‘good eater’ and am pretty good at entertaining myself. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a loving home where I will have a wonderful family to love and be loved by for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility.
