Meet Gibbs

A PLAYFUL & SWEET FELLOW:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 21 lbs. Hi, my name is Gibbs!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and – I knew it was my lucky day when the volunteers went right to work making me feel safe and loved.  I’ve also heard them say that it is now time to find my new family.  How exciting is that?  Plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet – though I like watching them when I’m out with the volunteers, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a super sweet guy who – though initially nervous on leash, I quickly learned to be comfortable with it.  I’m described as friendly and playful with a happy nature.  I even heard the volunteers say I am a ‘perfect boy – playful and strong’.  Though I arrived a little shy, that seems to be gone now that I know the shelter routine. I even did well for my bath, though it wasn’t my favorite thing. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning a lot with my trainer.  I bet you can teach me some great doggie commands, too. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I’ve only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule, so hopefully I’ll do well in my new home once I know the routine.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I really enjoy being in the play yard at Mostly Mutts and am especially glad to see the volunteers break out the toys as I think play time is the best time! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
