Meet Courtesy: Ellie

Courtesy Post: Ellie enjoys being loved on and she will gladly give you a kiss. She likes to play with toys and she appears to like dogs her size. She is learning to sit for a treat. Ellie is being fostered and she does not mess in her kennel. She is a young mix with a birthdate of 4/28/24. She weighs about 25 lbs and she is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her shots. Ellie would do great with an active family with a fenced in yard. Please contact [email protected] for more information. This courtesy post is in collaboration with the McCormick County Sheriff’s Office to help cats and dogs in our community find good homes.

Adoption Process
Our adoption process starts with an interview. We want to know what type of cat or dog they are looking for, their lifestyle, and their expectations. Then we set up a meet and greet either at the shelter, a pet store, or at their home. Then they fill out an adoption contract. We offer and encourage potential adopters to take the dog or cat home on foster-to-adopt for a few weeks before finalizing the adoption. Our adoption fee is $65 for cats and $125 for dogs which included spay or neuter and vaccinations and for dogs, it includes a microchip. Cats can be microchipped upon request.
